The children have had a lovely break and come back eager to learn about our new theme ‘The Great Fire of London’. The children started off by using their knowledge of London today to compare it to 1666.

They then learnt about the fire itself and ordered the events in chronological order. On Thursday, the children had a visit from Sir William Petty. He explained to us everything that happened during the fire, why it happened and what changed as a result.
