Ryecroft Safeguarding Team
Safeguarding
At Ryecroft we understand the key role we play as part of the wider safeguarding system. Within our school, we see safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children as everyone’s responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play and we ensure our approach is child centred.
All staff and governors share the follow key aims:
· To provide a safe and secure environment for our children to learn and grown
· Identifying children who are suffering or likely to suffer significant harm and take appropriate action with the aim of making sure that they are kept safe both at home and in school.
To achieve these aims we:
· Provide up to date training for staff and governors on safeguarding
· Ensure all statutory checks are completed on people working with our children.
· Promote safe practise
· Use embedded procedures to identify concerns about a child’s welfare and take appropriate action.
· Contribute to effective partnerships between all agencies working with our children and families
If you have concerns about a child and want to report outside of a discussion with school staff, please contact Rotherham’s
MASH Team (Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub) on 01709 336080
Our Safeguarding Policy is attached below and is also available in our polices section.
